liberation

Our school can gain liberation from these form of oppression by talking to students about the obstacles or struggles that they can face if they are in a gang. The school needs to have counselors and  teachers who care and support kids. Teachers should take their time to listen to kids and advice on what they should do if they come across this obstacles.

Oppression

Gang bangers harm other teens not involved with gangs by telling them that if they don't go with them that they can get hurt. Gang bangers' life's get restricted sometimes because they are afraid of going out of their neighborhood because they can get hurt.

college for all

              College for all
I come from a Mexican family that is very honest.  My community I live in is mean because there is a lot of violence most of the days.  Some opportunities have been available to me is to get a better education every day.  One major issue in my community is the gang fights because they are always fighting for their territory.  I had almost give up my dreams to go to college in the future because sometimes I feel unsafe living in Oakland.  The best solution for me was to not be a gang member.  Jean Quan, the Oakland mayor said, I will make Oakland a safe city.

I believe that college will help me because I can move to a safer place.  I want to go to college for All to see how college is like.  In the future I want to go to college because I want to be the first one from my family to graduate

MASK

I am who I am
People think they know me but that is just a mask a i wear to hide the pain that is burning inside me.

I wear the mask, the lier mask
The one who always has a smile and it's nice to people even when I'm really dying from all the hard feelings that I'm going through

I act tough so they don't make fun of me but actually in the inside I'm a little boy who can't get hurt with the most little thing because my heart is so fragile because of all the problems I have go through
